- Nigeria's celebrities and activists organized nationwide protests to end police brutality by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) following online outcry over harassment and extortion.
- The protesters demand the complete disbandment of SARS, compensation for victims, and an investigation into past grievances, with the police force responding by banning SARS from certain activities but facing criticism for past ineffective bans.
