- The governorship election petition tribunal in Edo State was relocated from Benin City to Abuja, causing a dispute between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the reasons behind the move.
- The APC accused the PDP of pressuring the relocation due to their witnesses' performance, while the PDP claimed the tribunal was moved for safety reasons amidst undue pressure from APC chieftains, with the tribunal set to resume in Abuja on January 28, 2025.
