- Castel Malawi has raised the prices of Malawi Gin and Malawi Vodka from K7,000 to K9,000 due to high production costs caused by expensive imported materials.
- The price increase does not apply to Premier Brandy, which remains at K12,000 per bottle after a previous increase from K10,000 last month.
- Castel had previously halted production of Premier Brandy, Malawi Gin, and Malawi Vodka due to forex shortages and high excise rates in the country.
