- Castel Malawi has raised the prices of Malawi Gin and Malawi Vodka from K7,000 to K9,000 due to high production costs caused by expensive imported materials.
- The price increase does not apply to Premier Brandy, which remains at K12,000 per bottle despite a previous price increase from K10,000.
- Castel had previously suspended production of Premier Brandy, Malawi Gin, and Malawi Vodka due to forex shortages and high excise rates, and had also raised prices of its other beverages earlier in the year.
