How Africa can encourage home-grown maths boffins
  • Albert Agisha Ntwali, a young man from the Democratic Republic of Congo, thought he would become a math teacher until he learned about the African Institute of Mathematical Science (AIMS) that offers scholarships to African mathematicians.
  • He enrolled at the AIMS campus in Kigali, Rwanda, and is excited about the new career opportunities available to him, such as joining a company, becoming a data scientist, or pursuing a PhD.
