- Oriola Oluwaseyi, a mother of four in Lagos, Nigeria, collects plastic bottles to pay for her daughter's school fees at Morit International School.
- Through a program called RecyclesPay by Africa Cleanup Initiative, parents can exchange plastic bottles for tuition fees, helping families in low-income communities access education while also addressing plastic waste issues in Nigeria.

What a great concept! Helping families give children education while paying tuition fee from selling bottles which already litter the place and constitute a massive health hazard. This is so sensible and Akhigbe and his team must be commended for the idea of ACI. Poverty in Nigeria has only grown worse because of the difficulty to get a good education. There are too many children out of school especially in the north which perpetuates a cycle of illiteracy and extreme poverty. Saving the planet while providing education through it is what not just Nigeria but Africa and the world really needs.
