- Parliament's main buildings in Cape Town were destroyed by fire three years ago, and the rebuilding process is set to begin in 2025, with completion expected by the end of 2026.
- In the meantime, a dome structure will serve as an interim chamber, with construction costs being covered by the Department of Public Works while Parliament will handle interior furnishing and ICT equipment installation.
