- The Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are going to court in the Western Cape High Court to try to stop a planned VAT increase.
- They believe the VAT hike is not legal and want the court to cancel the decision made by the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces.
- Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has said it's too late to change the VAT increase.
