- The Anambra State Government has given unaccredited private schools until September to get approved or face closure, as warned by the Commissioner for Education during a meeting with school owners in Awka.
- Despite warnings and extensions, many schools have not obtained approval, and if they don't by the start of the first term, they will be shut down as per the law.
