  • Nigerian automotive technology company Autochek raised US$3.4 million to improve the automotive commerce experience in Africa, starting with Nigeria and Ghana.
  • They acquired Cheki Nigeria and Cheki Ghana, plan to create a single marketplace for automotive needs, and will use the investment to grow their markets and invest in technology.

    They already have 20,000 cars. That's quite a lot. Hope they can change the industry for the better. Trust is the key. Just being fair and selling people reliable cars. A lot of people look for profits first, but hope they are thinking long-term. Trust is key because people will always need transportation and once people consider you trustworthy, your brand will be the first thing they go to.

    Much luck to them and hope they come down here to Southern Africa!
