- Sammi Awuku, the National Organiser for the New Patriotic Party, was in a car accident on the Ejisu-Konongo road in the Ashanti region while traveling to Koforidua after training Party Organisers and Volunteers for the 2020 elections.
- His vehicle was hit by another vehicle in their convoy, causing damage and minor injuries to him and his driver, but they both escaped a serious accident.
