- Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka cleared President Cyril Ramaphosa of allegations of improper conduct during two events where he was campaigning for the African National Congress (ANC), following complaints from the Democratic Alliance’s John Steenhuisen.
- The complaints claimed that Ramaphosa mixed his roles as president and ANC leader, but Gcaleka found that the incidents did not breach ethics codes as the house handover was not during the campaign and the jobs program announcement was already public knowledge.
