- Parliament's justice committee has closed its investigation into former justice minister Thembi Simelane's VBS-linked loan, focusing on whether there was a conflict of interest with her role over the National Prosecuting Authority.
- Despite calls for her dismissal, Simelane has been moved to the human settlements department, and the committee's attention has shifted to the new Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi, who has yet to appear before them.
