- ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa believes a national dialogue is needed to create a new socio-political agreement in South Africa, despite some opposition within the party due to concerns about working with political opponents like the Democratic Alliance.
- Ramaphosa also mentioned that forming a Government of National Unity (GNU) was a strategic move to pursue the national democratic revolution, and the ANC will continue to collaborate with other parties to achieve its goals and regain public trust for the next elections.
