- Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson has appointed PwC to investigate an R800 million oxygen plant tender at the Independent Development Trust (IDT) due to irregularities in the tender process.
- Macpherson has launched an independent investigation to determine if there were any wrongdoings and dismissed allegations of bribing a journalist to write negatively about the IDT.
