- Nine senators have switched from their political parties to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a significant change in the Nigerian Senate.
- This shift is seen as a response to internal issues within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and reflects growing concerns about the political landscape in Nigeria as the ADC positions itself as a stronger opposition ahead of the 2027 elections.
