- The Senate has approved changes to the Electoral Act to speed up the handling of pre-election disputes and stop the practice of forum shopping, where people seek favorable rulings from different courts.
- The amendments require that most pre-election cases start at the Federal High Court, while presidential election disputes will begin at the Court of Appeal, aiming to reduce conflicting judgments and improve trust in the judicial system.
