- Jandor, also known as Olajide Adediran, believed he could have won the 2023 Lagos governorship election if not for what he called the "Peter Obi effect," which changed the dynamics after the presidential election.
- Despite being the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, he came in third behind the incumbent governor Sanwo-Olu and the Labour Party's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in the election.
- Jandor has since left the PDP and expressed interest in pursuing his governorship dream in 2027 by considering joining other political parties.
