- Despite being the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, he came in third behind the incumbent governor Sanwo-Olu and the Labour Party's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in the election.
- Jandor has since left the PDP and expressed interest in pursuing his governorship dream in 2027 by considering joining other political parties.
