- The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has decided to rename the Imo State Government House, Douglas Road Owerri, and Awomamma Junction after Ikonso, the late commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) who was allegedly killed by security agencies.
- This decision is meant to honor and immortalize Ikonso and his men who sacrificed their lives defending their land against threats like terrorists and killer herdsmen.
