- Prof. Pat Utomi has stated that he will stop supporting Peter Obi if he runs as a vice-presidential candidate, insisting that Obi will instead contest for the presidency in 2027 after joining the African Democratic Congress.
- Utomi also criticized the current state of Nigerian leadership, advocating for a limit on presidential candidates' age to 70 and calling for a change to rescue the country from its current political issues.
