- An Oyo State High Court has confirmed the validity of the Peoples Democratic Party's national convention from November 2025, which established Kabiru Tanimu Turaki as the party's chairman, and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission to recognize this leadership.
- However, the PDP is still facing internal divisions and legal challenges, as a previous ruling had nullified the convention, leaving the party's leadership situation uncertain.
