- The Nigeria Police Force has created a new unit called Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) to replace the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) following nationwide protests against SARS' activities.
- The new SWAT unit will undergo training and members will be assessed for fitness and eligibility before being deployed for their new roles.
