- The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project is urging Senate President Akpabio and House Speaker Abbas to reduce extravagant budget allocations for the presidency and National Assembly, citing concerns over unnecessary spending that could be better used to address Nigeria's budget deficit and public services.
- SERAP is calling for transparency in the budget breakdown, highlighting excessive allocations for travel, meals, and catering, and warning of legal action if the National Assembly does not act on their recommendations to fulfill their oversight duties in line with the Nigerian Constitution's focus on the welfare and security of the people.
