- Sidi Ould Tah has been elected as the new president of the African Development Bank Group, succeeding Dr Akinwumi Adesina.
- Tah, who will take office on September 1, 2025, won the election after rounds of voting by the Bank's Board of Governors, defeating four other contenders and focusing on private capital mobilization and infrastructure improvement during his campaign.
