- A fire outbreak at Olusola Saraki Market in Kwara State destroyed goods worth millions of Naira, including clothing, provisions, soft drinks, and meat from seven out of 269 shops.
- The fire was caused by a power surge due to fluctuating supply from the power distribution company, but the Kwara State Fire Service contained the inferno, saving most of the shops and goods.
