- The Benue State Government has decided to stop graduation ceremonies in nursery and basic schools, including kindergartens, and has banned the use of customised textbooks and exercise books in both public and private schools.
- The new directive also eliminates mandatory extended lessons after regular school hours, except with explicit parental consent, and requires schools to return to the practice of passing down books from senior students to juniors, starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.
