- The Peoples Democratic Party is asking President Bola Tinubu to provide the same protection to opposition figures in Nigeria that he recently gave to Guinea-Bissau's opposition leader, Fernando Dia Da Costa, to support democracy.
- They believe the President should ensure a fair political environment at home, free from coercion and crises that threaten opposition parties.
