  • Nigerian ed-tech startup Edves, founded in 2016, is raising a US$500,000 seed funding round to expand its academic portal that automates school operations across Africa, reducing workload for teachers and administrators.
  • The platform, which won the Seedstars Global Education Prize in 2018, is already active in nearly 600 schools in Nigeria and Ghana and plans to expand to 10 other African countries, including Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
