- DR Congo's President Felix Tshisekedi and former President Joseph Kabila have agreed to form a coalition government due to a political stalemate, despite Tshisekedi's election being the first peaceful transition of power in the country since gaining independence in 1960.
- Tshisekedi has faced challenges in pushing through his reforms as Kabila's party holds a majority in the National Assembly, leading to a shared governance approach to maintain peace and stability in the country.

President Tshisekedi forming a coalition with Joseph Kabila is basically ceding power to the man who did not want to stop ruling. No one ever dined with the devil and came out better. Having a house majority effectively clips any incoming president's wing and making sure no reform get passed is just being a ruler but not governing. I feel sorry for him. Despite an unprecedented peaceful transition for the first time in DR Congo, i don't think the road ahead will be smooth. I hope i am disappointed.
