- One million foot-and-mouth vaccines are set to arrive in South Africa by Saturday to help vaccinate 80% of the national cattle herd by December, as announced by Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen.
- He also mentioned that private veterinarians can now join the vaccination efforts, and a total of 5 million more vaccines are expected by March to support the campaign.
