- The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) supports the Gauteng government's decision to create a team to address ongoing taxi violence in the province, following a deadly conflict in Soweto over key routes that led to multiple deaths.
- The specialized task team will monitor and intervene in industry disputes, aiming to reduce the high number of taxi-related murders recorded in the region.
