- Parliament's social development committee is investigating widespread fraud in the social grants system, particularly focusing on the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.
- The committee, led by Chairperson Bridget Masango, is eagerly awaiting the full findings of the investigation and suspects similar fraud may be happening in other grant categories, prompting a broader probe with the support of Minister Sisisi Tolashe.
