MK Party wins first ward in Western Cape
  • The MK Party won its first ward in the Western Cape by beating the ANC and other parties in a by-election in Saldanha Bay municipality, surprising many as the party had not performed well in the province previously.
  • The MK Party received 36% of the vote, with the ANC at 26% and the Patriotic Alliance at 19%, and the new councillor, Mzwandile Biko, takes over the seat previously held by the ANC.
