Good Party accuses CoCT of not informing low-income residents that they could be paying up to 10% more on monthly bills
  • The Good Party in Cape Town is upset because they found out that low-income residents might have to pay up to 10% more on their monthly bills, but they were not properly informed about it.
  • The party is urging residents to pressure their ward councillors to oppose the budget by boycotting the council sitting scheduled for 29 May, as they believe the city is increasing revenues from ratepayers by more than 22% this year despite advertising a below-inflation 2% electricity tariff increase.
