- The Kabiru Turaki faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is upset with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for recognizing a caretaker committee linked to Minister Nyesom Wike, calling it unconstitutional and promising to challenge it legally.
- Despite a recent court ruling that affected their leadership, Wike's group is moving forward with plans to hold a new convention to elect officials, while Turaki's faction urges members to stay calm as they await court decisions.
