- The Nigeria Police Force defended its actions during the #FreeNnamdiKanu protest, stating they followed a court order that restricted access to key government areas and only used tear gas to disperse demonstrators who ignored warnings.
- Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin emphasized that their goal was to maintain order and prevent unrest, denying claims of using live ammunition during the protest.
