- The Kebbi State Government has closed all state-owned tertiary institutions, except for the College of Nursing Sciences and Midwifery, due to increased insecurity in the area.
- The Commissioner for Higher Education urged affected institutions to comply and reassured students and staff that more information will be provided soon.
