- The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the Area Council Elections in Abuja on February 21, 2026, starting at 8:30 am, where only eligible voters with valid Permanent Voter Cards can vote using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System.
- To participate, voters must have their PVCs and be registered in the voter list, with the elections covering the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory.
