- Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua accused President William Ruto of scripting speeches for Kenya Kwanza Alliance lawmakers, claiming that Ruto dictated what he should say publicly during his time as deputy.
- Gachagua also alleged that Ruto's plan is to divide the Mount Kenya region and vowed to ensure Ruto is not re-elected in 2027, stating that he would lead the region to form a government with leaders who respect the region.
