- Nancy Odindo, a journalist with over four years of experience, reported on Lee Kinyanjui facing tough questions during his vetting for the Trade Cabinet secretary position in Kenya, with allegations of mistreating street children during his time as Nakuru governor.
- Kinyanjui denied the claims, calling them baseless and politically motivated, and emphasized the importance of respecting institutions and not using unverified claims as evidence.
- If approved, Kinyanjui, an ally of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, will take on a key role in Kenya's economic agenda as Trade Minister.
