- Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's allies, Mutahi Kagwe, William Kabogo, and Lee Kinyanjui, have been sworn in as Cabinet secretaries in President William Ruto's administration.
- President Ruto expressed confidence in their ability to serve Kenyans diligently and professionally, with specific encouragement for Kagwe to persuade farmers to vaccinate their livestock.
- The three politicians were officially appointed after their nominations were approved by the National Assembly Committee on Appointments, following a vetting session that included tough questioning, particularly regarding allegations against Kinyanjui's treatment of street children during his time as Nakuru governor.
