- Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's helicopter crashed in Gem Constituency after dropping him off at a school, but thankfully, there were no fatalities as the pilot and passengers only suffered minor injuries.
- Despite the incident, Raila continued his tour with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Nyanza region, where they commissioned a water supply project and visited other development projects.
