- The Ministry of Health in Kenya revoked internship offers for 306 pre-interns who had not yet graduated, following an investigation into irregularities in the Nursing Internship Placement for the 2025/2026 cohort.
- The ministry also identified 316 qualified pre-interns who were initially omitted from the placement list and instructed them to collect their offer letters in person, while the CEO of the Nursing Council of Kenya was suspended over alleged breaches in the placement process.
