- The High Court in Kenya has temporarily stopped the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) from conducting mid-year Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams following a petition by a doctor who argued that the retakes would undermine the integrity of national exams and violate candidates' rights.
- The court issued conservatory orders to halt the process, impacting over 700,000 students who were eligible for the retakes to improve their grades from the previous year's exams.
