- Kiambu County plans to build swimming pools for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) schools in every zone, aiming to provide amenities previously only available in private schools to public ECDE centers.
- Governor Kimani Wamatangi announced the initiative, which could cost around Ksh100 million or more if commercial-size pools are built, as part of the county's efforts to modernize infrastructure and support ECDE pupils with free exercise books, uniforms, and a daily feeding program.
