- The Traditional Council and residents of Sakora-Wonoo in the Ashanti Region have warned President Akufo-Addo and other officials not to attend the funeral of the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John, due to feeling betrayed by them.
- They are asking for the government to honor Sir John by improving road networks and completing other projects he started in the area before the funeral.
