- US immigration officers allegedly tortured Cameroonian asylum seekers to make them sign deportation orders before the elections, with some detainees facing threats, beatings, and forced signatures.
- Many Cameroonian migrants feared returning home due to government violence and had pending asylum hearings.
- The abuse has raised concerns about escalating deportations and the treatment of black immigrants by Ice, with reports of forced deportations and lack of transparency in the process.
