- The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) in Kenya has disbursed Ksh1.56 billion to over 65,000 students for tuition and living expenses following a directive from President William Ruto.
- Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba confirmed that the funds aim to support students in meeting their academic needs, with a total of Ksh32.7 billion already disbursed to over 195,000 trainees in TVETs and 390,000 university students in the current financial year.
