- Given Lubinda has officially filed his nomination to run for the presidency of the Patriotic Front (PF) party ahead of the National Conference in November 2025, paying the required K200,000 fee.
- He joins several other candidates, including Lusaka lawyer Makebi Zulu and South Africa-based businessman Willah Mudolo, as the party prepares for its first conference since the death of former leader Edgar Lungu.
