- The Democratic Alliance in Tshwane was unable to finish its project to provide clean tap water to Hammanskraal before being removed from government, but the Tshwane Municipality recently declared some parts of Hammanskraal's water safe to drink after installing the Magalies Klipdrift water treatment plant.
- This progress comes after a 2023 cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal prompted efforts by the Tshwane Municipality and the national department of water to restore clean drinking water to the area, with plans for further improvements in the future.
